My topic today is about violence & crime, many people in guyana are being killed for nothing. Young people in this country are carrying harmful weapons to school & everyway they go. I had a friend who was like that. One day when me & my friend were walking he pulled out a knife & told me to keep it for him, so I told him NO! & he walked away so I kept on walking. one week later I heard that he stabed someone in school, so when I saw him I said why did you stab that boy & he said 'leave me alone!' I would never kill anybody.

In Guyana Teenage Pregnancy is at large. Many of the youths in my country (Guyana) are dealing with teenage pregnancy at a very young age and after delivery they have on one they can turn to. Some of the teenagers that are dealing with Teenage Pregnancy can tell you that the reason they are in that position is because of Peer Presure. Others will tell you that they were in LOVE and the only way they could have stayed in the ralationship was to have unprotected
sex with their partner. The remain are being rape, most likely by a love one.
I have a friend that is dealing with Teenage Pregnancy, she is 7 months pregnant and already regreting what she did, but she have to deal with the consequences that follow. So my advice to all teenagers out there is to abstain from sex, your turn is comming, Wait, or else you too will have to deal with the consequences.

meny school girls like to ride on the minibus during school hours they like to sit on the conductors lap and let the conductors play with there privite parts and let the conductors take them as granted and use them as bate so that they can get hiv,aids and when they get the virous they will not live to see the age of 18 and over because there bodies will not stand the heat and they will die. so that is why they should stop bus riding and the conductors and drivers should stop having them in the buses during school hours. I think that they should have a law on school children bus riding.

HIV/ aids is a really bad desease & I think we should look out for it. We can prevent hiv/ aids by having safe sex etc. Teenagers like us should not be having sex because that is wrong & you can get infected & even infect some else.

People I know in guyana have been infected by hiv/ aids, one day me & my friends were talking & one of them said lets talk about hiv/aids so I said okay, so he started telling us about him having hiv/ aids, so one of the boys said you can't be my friend no more & I said no you can't say that, so he started saying yes I can & I asked him, how would you feel if you had hiv/ aids & people stop being your friend, he said okay now I see I will stop doing what is wrong & start doing what is right, so I said good now you know what is wrong from what is right that is why I would never make fun of people who have hiv/ aids, that's all I have to say for today.

As a Teenager my opinion about Relationship is what you have to be very serious with your partner and try to abstain from sex and focus on important isues like discussing about what is your goal in life what you would like to become so that your parents could be proud of you and not making there hands full. I have seen alot of young girls my age ane already haveing sex and losing focus on their school work some of them are even geting pregnant because they do not discuss about comdoms and such like so. it is not important for a relationship as a teenager if you are not prepair for that responsibility so it is best for you to stay focus on your education until it is the right Time.

Peer pressure is the pressuring of peers to do things that they are not comfortable with.
About 95% of the peer troubling with peer pressure are girls and they are most likely to be pressure by a friend or a boyfriend.
There are many ways a peer can tell if he/she are being pressure, some of which are the Sales Pitch,examples, "everybody's doing it", "we won't get caught", "it's no big deal", "scared", "if you're my friend you'll do this with me", "grow up" etc. But before every Sales Pitch there's The SEll ,example,"hay, i've got an idea...", "do you wanna...". It's very important to look out for these clues.
When persons are being pressured they tense to do alot of things that will put them into trouble but it's the only way to be poppular, example, sneaking out at night, smoking cigarettes/ pots, doing drugs/pills, drinking alcohol, going to off limit parties, stealing etc.
It's very important for us the peers to make the right decisions when being pressured and it's also important to look at the consequences that might come after making that decision.
As a peer it's not easy to avoid the challenges that comes in every days life, but it could help by using at least one of thePeer Pressure Responses (PPR). They are: Say No

It's very important for us the peers to not be caught up in Peer Pressure.

bus riding is not good for the school children

when one think of the education standard in guyana which I think is droping and wonder what the ministry of education is doing to raise the education standard. when you look Around the mini bus park during school hours you can find mini bus conductor,s Allowing school girls to travel (Bus ride) on mini buses for long hours during period. school girls who like to bus ride end up being victims of rape sexual assault or some other violent Attack.

I think the ministry of education should put firm systems in place to curb the dus ride problem.

How i dealt with a love one

In Guyana HIV/AIDS is one of the most deadly diseases. We the children of Guyana each have had to deal with the loss of someone we loved who died with this disease.
AIDS-The word AIDS means Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and is caused by the virus call HIV. HIV can be caused for a number of reasons, the most common way persons can be infected by this disease is by sexual contact with an infected person. AIDS is most likely to start infecting the body within 10 years after contracting HIV. Persons can protect themselves from getting HIV by using a condom correctly every time he/she have sex. Living with HIV doesn't mean it's the end of your life, persons living with the disease can collect treatment to cured themselves and maybe just maybe the disease can exit the body. On the other hand persons living with Aids can also cure themselves from getting worst but as soon as that person stops taking treatment the virus can spread causing the body to weaking.It's very important for persons living with the virus to collect their treatment, exercise and drink alots of fruit drink.

I too had to deal with the lost of a family member who died with Aids.
It was about 1 year 1 month ago, and my aunt ( my father sister ) died with Aids. It was very painfull at first because we all had a strong connection with her, but after a while we learn to understand that it wasn't her fault and maybe the Lord was ready for her. we realy needed her at this time because she has three sons at the ages of 2, 5, 8 and it's going to be more painful when they get older and wants to find out about their mother and we the older ones have to explain. It woun't be alot of work looking after her children but it would be easier if she was here.

I realy miss my aunt alot but i know that the Lord have a better place for her, and all the persons out there that had to deal with the lost of a love one who died with this disease and is still greaving , i would like you to know that crying wount return that person , maby there in a better place, who know.

I once knew someone who was hooked on drugs. One night I was sitting in front of my gate and my best friend came up to me saying please for a hundred dollars so I replied to him saying what are you going to do with this money? He did not reply so he walked away from me. The next day I saw him smoking something wrapped in a white paper. I asked him what is that? He said to me this is herbs, take a pull you're going to feel good. I replied to him saying I am going to tell your mother he gave it back to the person who he got it from and came with me to his house and we talked and talked about this marijuana and then he replied to me saying I am not going to smoke no more from today on i swear.He marked his word from that day but now he is doing very well now with the advice i have given him.I am emerging all yes all of you young teenagers not to use marijuana.

When i'm in school, everyday I always see children fighting, & they don't even care if the teachers are around & even when class is going on they still wan't to keep fighting children of my school often get suspend through out of the school, ever scince I started secondary school I have never been in a fight. One day when I was walking to school a boy saw me & said hey Rayad do you wan't to fight, I said no so and walked away the boy still wanted to fight, I said no again so he walked up in fron't of me and started punching me on me left arm, suddenly a techer came and said stop knocking at me the boy did not stop so the teacher took him up to the office and gave him a letter to give his parents, his parents read the letter, the letter was about suspending the boy. That's why I never wan't to be involved in a fight.

I am about to write about marijana and what it can do to you.

I have seen when people buy marijuana drugs or even smoke,smell the stuff around persons like babies or anyone else. People try this stuff because other persons tell them a lot of lies about how the stuff is very good and tell them to buy it because it is very good and it will not harm you, your family nor your love ones.

You should't believe this because when person is trying to lie to you they will tell you a whole bunch of lies just because they saw you or one of they firend who will be working with you or just trying to be your friend for now and saw you with a lot of money in your hand or your packet. And that's how they will know that you have a lot of money to rob you or to tell all of those lies about how it is very good and telling you to try it.I think it is very dangerous because when it entre your lungs and it will make you have a hard time breathing and it will enter your brain and make you forget a lot of things that you need to do, say to other persons or any adult and can make you disrepect other persons like your family and make them put you on the road to beg for money. And that same person will see you there and lanugh at you and say ''will I am thinking about helping you but I don't want may clean,fresh good looking cloths to get all 'DIRTY' and looking like you''.

So I will be going on my way now and "hey get your self clean up man and get a room to stay and go back to your family and get a job back". Because he know how it felt to some one of his family and he don't want it to happen to someone else too.But what I think he did first was wrong because he lie to the man first and than came to say 'sorry' to the man and give him money to go to a hotel and get him self clean up and go to his family and go get a job back and also get back on track with his work too and if he see someone else selling marijuana he can tell them what some one did to him .And he don't want it to happen someone else so he was thinking of become a teacher to just to talk to them about how pepole can tell lies and also make carzy.And he can work full time job and the rist of time he could be with his family.
